Squads & training times
From 2009 (exact date tbc) Bodmin swimming club will become independent of NCDC. This means we will have to fund all costs associated with running a swimming club.
This also means we are now able to structure the club and its training times to enable our swimmers to develop in an appropriate environment for their abilities.
From Jabuary 2009, in conjunction with the leisure centre, we will be changing squads anjd training times. For details of the new training times click on the link below.
Squads
The final details of the squad's have yet to be finalised - but the following will hopefully make the training times document comprehensible.
Technical squad - intensive sessions with low coach to swimmer ratio aimed helping junior swimmers make the leap from lessons to swimming club successfully. Up to 3 half hour sessions per week.
Imtermediate Squad - For junior swimmers ready to learn how to train and to swim quickly with good technique. Swimmers should be prepared to swim for the club at galas and recommended meets. Up to 4 sessions per week with 5 hrs available
Performance Squad - For competitive swimmers aiming to compete at county championships. Up to 6 sessions and 8 hrs available per week. Swimmers should be prepared to swim for the club at galas and recommended meets.
Performance + Squad - Open to highly competitive swimmers looking for regional qualifying times. Up to 8 sessions and 12 hours available per week. Swimmers should be prepared to swim for the club at galas and recommended meets.
