Bodmin Dragons Speedo League 2007

Speedo league is swimming’s premier team competition. It is loud, fun and the competition is at a very high level. This year it is the Dragon’s stated intention to win promotion to Division 2 of the Speedo League west.

Well done everyone in round one the points on the day were as follows

1 Bodmin 229 points

2 carn Brea 211 points

3 Salisbury - 196 Points

4 Weymouth - 173 Points

5 Devonport Royal -143 Points

6 Gillingham - 80 Points

Well done to Bodmin and also our fellow Cornish club Carn Brea who finished in a strong second place.

We must now focus on round 2 and especially round 3. No matter how well we do in the first two rounds, we will NOT get promoted unless we do well in round 3. Plymouth Leander B are very strong & Newquay are also likely to be competitive after relegation last year.

Slectiopn criteria - All events will be swum by the fastest available swimmer in that event. The individual races will not be decided until final availability is confirmed.

We are likely to travelling by coach in all rounds. If that is the case - the coach will start at Bodmin and stop at Launceston (there will be a small charge to cover costs). We will send updates both by email & to be posted on the notice board so keep an eye out for further developments.
